Excellent lecturer, very clear.
Two notes:
1) the calculations are not only to verify if the moon could be seen on the 30th day,
but also which position, size, shape etc. to confirm if the witness testimony is correct (mishna Rosh Hashona)
2) At min. 27 he states that the Rambam surprisingly till now has left out the order of the constellation, but actually the Rambam has already introduced the astronomic system in Hilchos Yesodei HaTorah where the order of the constellations was listed.
