Welcome to Chabad of the West Sixties, lovingly established in 2005 in the heart of New York, NY. Under the dedicated leadership of Rabbi Yehuda Lipskier and his wife Faya, along with their seven wonderful children, our Chabad House has flourished into a vibrant hub of Jewish life and learning. As a proud branch of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, we strive to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all members of our community.

Chabad at Fordham

Chabad at Fordham is dedicated to serving the Jewish students at Fordham University. We provide a home away from home where students can connect with their heritage, celebrate Jewish holidays, and engage in meaningful discussions about faith and life. Our programs include Shabbat dinners, Torah study sessions, and social events that help build a close-knit Jewish community on campus.

Chabad Pod

Chabad Pod extends our reach by offering virtual classes, podcasts, and online resources. It is designed to accommodate those who prefer or need to connect remotely. Through Chabad Pod, we share insightful teachings, spiritual guidance, and educational content that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, ensuring that everyone can benefit from our programs regardless of physical location.

Our Services

We are proud to offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of our diverse community. Our adult education programs are tailored to foster ongoing learning and spiritual growth, while our after school programs and children's club provide enriching experiences for young minds. We offer comprehensive Bar and Bat Mitzvah instruction, guiding young individuals on their journey to Jewish adulthood.

Our holiday awareness programs and communal lectures aim to deepen understanding and engagement with Jewish traditions and values. We also provide essential religious services such as mezuzah and tefillin checking, kitchen koshering, and circumcision. For young families, our Mommy and Me classes offer a wonderful opportunity for mothers and their children to bond and learn together.

One-on-one study sessions, hospital visits, and regular classes ensure that learning and support are always accessible. We also extend our reach to seniors through visitation programs and provide marriage preparation, funeral services, and support for women’s groups, ensuring that every stage of life is embraced with care and compassion.
